Dreamer, Artist and Storyteller
Sudeshna Goswami is graphic designer, filmmaker and photographer with a decade of experience in creating corporate films, documentaries, short films and associating in feature films. She has an experience in working, an Italian project (International Film). She loves to tell compelling and intimate stories that inspire as well as provoke us.
During major part of her career, she has been working with internationally and nationally acclaimed, award winning film-maker, Mr. Goutam Ghose as an associate director. Soumendu Roy –cinematographer of Satyajit Ray, the great Oscar winner –has been her guiding force in nurturing her lens skills. Two parallel streams --- the University Education and the Mainstream Film Industry --- have generated in her a rare combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The mixture has enabled her to communicate with people at large. Additionally, she has successfully completed a diploma in graphic design and obtained certification in UX/UI design.
Recently her documentary feature film 'Somewhere on Earth' and Hindi featurette film ‘Blotting Paper’, both have started earning laurels in national and international film festivals.
In spare times, she loves designing new fonts both in Bengali and English. Her designed Logo & Calligraphy of 'Shankhachil' received 63rd National Film Award. Her deep understanding of visual artistry and acute attention to detail consistently result in outstanding outcomes on various design projects and graphics.
She is a prolific writer of remarkable short stories, is a truly versatile artiste. Over the past 8 years she has been writing in main stream newspaper daily. She is a painter too, who excels in pointillism. As an author, her main concern is the lives and livelihoods of the marginalized people.
Sudeshna is engrossed in continuing her creative pursuits in various fields. Lately she is involved as researcher and creative associate of making documentary features of Mujib in Calcutta (Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary tribute), Pan-Indian author Prafulla Roy, East Bengal Football Club, directed by internationally and nationally acclaimed, award winning film-maker, Mr. Goutam Ghose.
